Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday unveiled a 30-ft-high statue of Bhagat Singh at Mohali’s Shaheed Bhagat Singh Worldwide Airport, which had been within the eye of the storm owing to the BJP’s allegations of a delay in its unveiling.
Mann stated he would go to Khatkar Kalan, Bhagat Singh’s native village, every time he purchased a brand new car throughout his days as an artist. “I at all times felt that it was due to martyrs like Bhagat Singh that we’re free. The statue was crafted from bronze in Rajasthan at a value of Rs 5 crore, in response to the chief minister.
The Opposition BJP lately held a protest march alleging that the AAP authorities was delaying the disclosing of the Bhagat Singh statue.
