Florida Gators males’s basketball coach Todd Golden mentioned in a press release on Saturday that he would weigh a defamation lawsuit because it was revealed the college is investigating misconduct claims towards him.
Golden put a press release out on social media, acknowledging the lawsuit.

“For the final month, I’ve actively participated in and revered the confidentiality of an ongoing college inquiry,” the assertion learn. “I’ve not too long ago engaged Ken Turkel to advise me on my skill to convey defamation claims whereas this confidential investigation is ongoing.
“My household and I recognize the help we now have acquired and stay assured the college will proceed its efforts to complete its evaluation correctly.”

Golden’s remarks got here a day after the Impartial Florida Alligator reported the college opened up an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, stalking and cyberstalking a number of ladies, together with college students, towards him.
The newspaper reported that Golden faces claims of undesirable sexual advances on Instagram, requesting sexual favors and sending images and movies of his genitalia. The newspaper cited a Title IX grievance made on Sept. 29.
Golden, 39, signed a two-year contract extension in March that included a $1 million elevate and introduced his annual wage to $4 million.

He’s nonetheless with the staff amid the investigation and led on-campus follow on Saturday earlier than the sport welcomes Grambling State to Gainesville.
