Azad Maidan police on Saturday arrested a 42-year-old lawyer for allegedly duping a 74-year-old New Delhi resident of Rs 2.57 crore.
The accused Vinaykumar Ashok Khatu, a resident of Parel, was arrested from Nerul, Navi Mumbai for allegedly defrauding Urmila Darab Talyarakhan, the complainant.
In line with police, the lawyer who represented the complainant in a matter within the Bombay Excessive Court docket accepted cash from Darab as his payment after giving her copies of the court docket’s verdict in her favour. Later, Darab found that the court docket orders have been pretend, states the FIR filed towards him
