RICHMOND, Va. — A jury has dominated in favor of three ladies who alleged they had been sexually abused whereas sufferers at a Virginia youngsters’s hospital, awarding them a complete of $300 million in damages.
The jury in Richmond Circuit Courtroom on Friday awarded every girl $60 million in compensatory damages and $40 million in punitive damages, WTVR-TV reported.
A complete of 46 former sufferers sued the Cumberland Hospital for Youngsters and Adolescents in New Kent, which treats weak youngsters, and Dr. Daniel Davidow, the hospital’s longtime medical director. On this first trial, the three former sufferers alleged that Davidow inappropriately touched them throughout femoral pulse exams.
