A five-year-old boy who was kidnapped from Goregaon was rescued and the alleged kidnapper was arrested inside 24 hours of the crime, police stated Thursday.
In accordance with Borivali Authorities Railway Police (GRP), the five-year-old boy was dwelling together with his mom and father below the Goregaon railway bridge.
On February 11, one Karan Kanojiya (24), who was a buddy of the boy’s father, allegedly kidnapped the kid and escaped.
When the mom learnt about it, the couple approached Borivali Railway police station.
Following this, Senior Inspector Dattaji Khuperkar Wednesday registered a case of kidnapping below Part 137 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and pressed a number of groups to hint the child and the kidnapper.
After discovering out the situation of the accused, a police crew together with the crime detection department personnel laid a entice in Kalyan metropolis. When the accused arrived there with the kid he was nabbed on Wednesday night time.
After preliminary inquiry, police took the accused and baby to Borivali GRP and the boy was handed over to his household.
