No less than 10 folks have been booked and detained for allegedly assaulting three migrant staff in Vadodara, mentioned police on Tuesday.
Based on the police, the incident passed off in Padra taluka of the district on Monday evening throughout a garba occasion in Santram Bhagor space when the accused, on the suspicion of theft, thrashed the victims.
Police mentioned that the three staff had stopped by to observe a garba efficiency, when, suspecting them to be thieves, the native residents began questioning them. The victims, who belong to Uttar Pradesh and didn’t know Gujarati, sustained bruises on their face and legs till they have been rescued by police.
Vadodara district superintendent of police Rohan Anand advised The Indian Categorical: “The native residents attacked the migrant staff whereas they have been watching garba as they suspected them to be thieves. We’re probing the case. Ten folks have been detained and an FIR is underway within the case.”
