In a significant breakthrough, the Punjab Anti-Gangster Activity Drive (AGTF), in a joint operation with the native police, arrested two operatives of the Davinder Bambiha gang in Mohali and recovered two .32-calibre pistols together with seven cartridges from their possession.
Punjab Director Normal of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated these arrested have been recognized as Harinder Singh, a resident of village Mehmadpur in Mohali, and Gurjinder Singh.
DGP Yadav stated the accused had been dealt with by USA-based Kulveer Singh alias Lala Benipal, an aide of absconding gangster Fortunate Patial who is predicated overseas. Benipal had earlier orchestrated two separate assaults in Mohali, one on a financier in September 2023 and the opposite on a rival gang member the next December.
