The Delhi Police on Sunday stated they’ve recognized 175 suspected unlawful Bangladeshi immigrants from Outer Delhi district in a 12-hour verification drive that started at 6 pm on Saturday.
“Police have intensified efforts to establish and detain people residing with out legitimate documentation. As a part of the continuing operations, 175 people have been recognized as suspected unlawful Bangladeshi immigrants throughout in depth verification drives in outer Delhi,” a senior police officer stated.
“Involved in regards to the rising variety of undocumented immigrants, the Outer District police has launched a sequence of focused operations and checks in varied areas beneath its jurisdiction,” the officer added.
The town police launched a drive for the identification of unlawful Bangladeshi immigrants residing in Delhi on December 11, a day after the L-G Secretariat ordered a crackdown on such individuals.
